Bright Eyes:

Polished Smile:
Gargle with cold black tea. The tannin in tea strengthens gums. Fresh strawberries give your teeth a whitening boost. Treat a mouth ulcer by rinsing with a solution of one teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide in 50ml water. Chew of fennel seeds of beat bad breath. To fight plaque, mix a teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel into warm water, then gargle. There’s no need to spend a fortune on teeth whitening treatments. Instead, try this: combine 1 tablespoon bicarbonate of soda with 1 teaspoon of fine sea salt. Dip a moistened toothbrush directly into the mix and gently brush- don’t scrub your teeth. Use no more than once a mouth.
No Sweat:
Try a crystal stick as a deodorant. It’s a chunk of mineral salts which control bacteria. Wear clothes made of natural fabrics like cotton or linen, as they are able to absorb perspiration better than synthetics.
Hair Repair:
For a rich conditioner, warm half a cup apricot kernel or sweet almond oil and massage it into your hair. Mayonnaise is an excellent deep conditioning treatment. Leave on your hair for up to one hour. Disguise thinning hair- crack open an egg over your hair, massage, and then rinse. The extra protein will give your hair more body. Massage your scalp with apple juice- its natural fruit acids will help get rid of dandruff. Rub avocado, which contains lecithin, into dry or damaged hair.

Natural Remedies

Cold Sores:
If you’re prone to cold sores, avoid eating nuts, seeds and chocolate. They contain arginine, an amino acid that may trigger the problem. When the tingling starts, hold an ice cube against the spot. Use thuja (homoeopathic) ointment to speed healing.
Bruises:
Use a methanol based ointment to increase circulation- it speeds healing and reduces discoloration. Apply an icepack quickly cooling constricts blood vessels. Those with low vitamin C may bruise more easily, so eat lots of citrus, green capsicum, kiwi fruit, spinach and broccoli. If you can avoid aspirin or anti hypertension drugs- they may increase bruising.
Aches and pains:
Relieve a painful tooth by dabbing a few drops of clove oil on or near it. Soothe sinus pain by pressing your thumbs firmly on both sides of your nose. Hold for 30 seconds, and repeat. If you are prone to sinusitis, flush nasal passages with a neti (nasal irrigation) pot.
Headache:
When you feel it coming on, brush it off- Starting above an eyebrow, draw your fingertips or a stiffish hairbrush over your head, back over your ear and down the back of your neck. Repeat starting a little to the right of the previous stroke. Do the same above the other eyebrow until you’ve covered your head. Half an hour later, repeat the process.

Energy Regeneration

Relaxation Techniques:
Though we can’t avoid stress, we can reduce its impact on our health. And we can restore equilibrium without any medical intervention or stimulants. These natural tips help put the balance back in your life.
Sitting Meditation:
Meditation exerts a powerfully calming effect on the body as well as the mind, neutralizing stress, slowing the heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and balancing brainwave patterns. Sit comfortably in a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed. Close your eyes breathe deep and slow. Focus your attention on an object such as the flame of a candle or a flower in a vase, or on your breathing. This will help calm your mind. Gently focus on the object you have chosen. Sit quietly for 2 or 3 minutes to start with. You can increase your meditation time as you practice- say, to 20 minutes. When your mind wanders, simply return your attention to the object. It will become easier with practice, so persevere.
Foot Massage:
In this soothing treatment, the combination of heat and small pressure points from the pebbles will stimulate and revitalize tired feet. Place smooth pebbles or marbles in the bottom of a large bowl, and cover with water as hot as you can bear. Add a couple of drops of lavender essential oil. Put your feet in the bowl and roll them back and forth over the pebbles, applying gentle pressure.
Handy Stress-Busters:
For a healthy source of nerve soothing minerals, snack on dried organic apricots. Sip on chamomile, valerian, lime flower or lemon balm tea. Move vigorously. Aerobic activity, preferably outdoors, helps metabolize the stress hormones created when we are angry or stressed. To quell nausea associated with stress, nible on crystallized ginger, sip peppermint tea, or take charcoal tablets.
